About Us
At Boldon Bees we are a beekeeping family with hives in various locations around the local area. Rob, our head beekeeper, started his beekeeping journey while visiting relatives in Italy as a child. It was his first encounter with the joy of beekeeping and he has loved bees ever since. We started our apiary at East Boldon in 2019 and it has gone from strength to strength. We love our amazing bees and practice responsible and sustainable bee farming. We aim, through the tradition of beekeeping, high quality craftsmanship and a love of nature, to produce the highest quality raw, pure, natural honey, direct from the bees … to you!
About Our Honey
The flavour of honey is dependent on the variety of forage available in the local area, resulting in unique and complex taste differences. Even honeys harvested from the same apiary will vary in taste, colour and viscosity across the season. Raw honey is full of beneficial vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids and pollens. Our honey is raw and unfiltered, to maintain its amazing nutritional benefits and flavour. Our soft set creamed honey is truly delicious. We slowly stir our liquid honey, in a carefully crafted process, to control crystallization. The result is a honey which is smooth and velvety with a spreadable consistency…. heaven!!
